Pseudo-Thought of the Day

We blog to know we're not alone.

Is that a deep thought, or a Jack-Handy-style thought? I get the two confused in my purty blonde head.

But really, aren't we just a bunch of voices crying out in the great wilderness that is the blogosphere, hoping someone will hear?

Funny, we both posted on Jack Handey on the same day! Hey, by the way, I noticed you're in Asheville. While growing up, I spent a month every summer at my grandparents' house in Brevard. Love that neck of the woods. Fond memories of gem hunting in Franklin, Grandfather Mountain, Tweetsie Railroad, Caesar's Head, Sliding Rock, etc. We honeymooned in Nantahala, another favorite spot. You've got yourself a little piece of heaven over there in western N.C.!

Hmmm ... I don't know, really. I started blogging so my mom could keep up on my life. She lives in Korea. My fiance's sister-in-law blogs, so I read her site. Then, I got frustrated because she didn't post that often, so I started reading other blogs. I didn't really intend to have My People ... it just kind of morphed into existence. I don't know, it might be a cult?!?!

Joe: Yes, western NC is wonderful. Hubster and I were just at Nantahala Outdoor Center a few weeks ago, meeting up with a bunch of hiker friends. I have family in Brevard and love visiting them, particularly in the summer because of the Brevard Music Center.

Jeanette: The Cult of My People. It has a nice ring to it, actually!
