Today I was tempted to deface the bumper sticker of some poor fellow Christian.
It said:
I PRAY. GET USE TO IT!
I really, really wanted to pull out a red Sharpie and write:
ENGLISH GRAMMAR. GET USED TO IT!
But I didn't.
But I wanted to. I really wanted to.
GAH! I understand the temptation.

ReplyDeleteI'm surprised you don't carry a red sharpie in your purse. Is it defacing if you just added a red "D" to the end of "use"? That's not bad, is it?
I forgot to mention I also scratched out the extra "l".
ReplyDeleteI added a "D" with a Sharpie on a sign that said "Only Authorize Personell Allowed".
ReplyDeleteThe sign was actually replaced less than a week later, with the misspelling sported once again.
